Looks like January was 2017’s Ultimate Glam Month – what with the beauty pageants, and the glitz and glamour of multi-awarded fashion designer Albert Andrada’s L’Abondance Collection fashion show held in Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila last January 25. Directed by Robby Carmona, L’Abondance is Albert Andrada’s 4th sartorial presentation at the Sofitel.
Prior to the event, the guests were invited to Sofitel’s flagship restaurant, Spiral. It’s no wonder why Spiral is one of Sofitel’s pride and joy because the buffet boasts of a unique, interactive dining experience care of 21 (yes, 21!) dining ateliers offering a various range of cuisine: Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Filipino – you name it!
What we totally loved, though, was the Cheese Room and the Chocolate Room – yes, they have an entire room dedicated to different variants of cheese and chocolate! Talk about paradise!
The show – in line with the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year – is inspired by the Chinese philosophy highlighting the celebration of abundance in life, which was showcased in the collection’s exquisite haute couture pieces. The Master of Ceremonies formally opened the fashion show with a Chinese song number on Spiral’s renowned grand staircase.
The place was then flooded with elegant whites, pastels, violets, and golds when the girls entered in their long, flowing gowns, and guys in exquisitely elegant suits descended from the stairs as well and strutted around the restaurant like a professional runway, astounding the guests with the spectacular refinery of the pieces in the collection.
We don’t know about you guys, but we are totally loving this gown’s back details!
The suits look very dapper, as well – we could stare at it all day!
This is definitely sophistication at its finest!
