LOOK: Sharon Cuneta Explains Why She Won’t Return to Judge ‘The Voice Kids’

With the news surrounding popular singing competition The Voice Kids making its television return for a fourth season, some are wondering why music veteran Sharon Cuneta won’t be making her comeback as the fourth member of the lineup of judges.

One fan took to the Megastar’s Instagram account to confirm the reason for her absence from the new season, even mentioning how Sharon was the one who brought much of the entertainment to the show.

“I cannot stand the stress kasi,” Sharon explained. “I become so attached to the kids and it weighs heavily on my heart pag kailangan na mag-eliminate.”

She also said that she had already expressed her concerns to the head of ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic and director of The Voice, Johnny Manahan, also referred to as “Mr. M,” back in May.

Sharon Cuneta made her debut as The Voice Kids judge during its third season in 2016 and returned for The Voice Teens in 2017.

As she takes a break from coaching for the competition, she said that she will focus on making movies and preparing for concerts, including one in collaboration with Regine Velasquez.
