Retired football star Phil Younghusband is now a father!

On Instagram, he shared the happy news with friends and fans about the birth of his and wife Margaret Hall’s new baby boy, Philip James.
“Very proud to introduce Team Younghusband’s new signing Philip James Younghusband, named after his Grandad and Dad,” he said on his post. “Born in the early hours of June 12th. Mummy and baby Philip are both very well and healthy.”

“[Margaret] and I are both overwhelmed with emotion for our bundle of joy. Thank you Baby Philip for making us the happiest Mummy and Daddy in the world,” he added.
It was last December when the couple announced their pregnancy, five months after their elegant wedding in Canterbury, United Kingdom, in July.
Phil was a longtime player for the Philippine Azkals football team and served as captain for three years before he officially announced his retirement at age 32.
