LOOK: Paulo Coelho Defends BTS From Haters

Who knew that Paulo Coelho is also an ARMY?

Yesterday, the author mysteriously tweeted, “Haters are confused admirers who want to be like you.” He also added a series of purple hearts.

The same day, news anchor Chris Cuomo responded, tweeting “First time I have disagreed with this great writer and thinker.”

Paulo then answered, saying, “Thank you by being so direct. But I was referring to a Korean group, BTS, that are constantly under attack by detractors, only because they are the most successful band on the planet.”

After finding out what the tweet meant, Cuomo said, “Anyone who hates this artist hates truth, love, and deeper understanding of the questions that matter most.”

Of course, fans would know that Paulo is a supporter, since the author welcomed BTS during their stop in Brazil last year, tweeting, “Enjoy Brasil, BTS. My country—and I—love your music.” He added, “And forget the critics PLEASE. They are like eunuchs in a harem—knowing how to do, but incapable of doing what they see.”

Paulo is a Brazilian author known for his books The Alchemist, Eleven Minutes, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, and more.
