Rapper Nicki Minaj has officially tied the knot with boyfriend Kenneth Petty in a surprise ceremony!
Nicki dropped the news on her Instagram where she uploaded a video of matching Bride and Groom mugs and hats. She also captioned the post “Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19” which is her real name.

Nicki and Kenneth met when they were teenagers and had previously dated, way before Nicki rose to fame in the music industry. Nicki even referred to him as one of her “first loves” in an interview with TMZ when they went public with their rekindled romance in 2018.
Nicki also shared in her radio show Queen Radio back in June that she and Kenneth already obtained a marriage license and were planning a wedding ceremony. “I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything,” she said at the time.

This also comes after Nicki announced her retirement from the music industry last September, saying that she’s ready to enjoy the next phase of her life: motherhood.
