LOOK: Michael Cinco Designs Stylish Medical Gowns for Front Liners

Fashion designer Michael Cinco has created simple yet stylish medical gowns for medical front liners in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a way of giving back to its community.

Michael shared his design on Instagram last Wednesday, May 20.

“This is not really an actual dress…It is just a plain protection lab gown creatively draped and styled on [a] mannequin to make it look like a high fashion dress for our amazing medical front liners fighting for COVID-19 in UAE,” he wrote on his post.

He also shared that this effort was part of the “Thread4Cause” project initiated by the Arab Fashion Council in collaboration with D3 Dubai and Dubai Health Authority as an answer to the shortage of personal protective equipment in the country.

He is among seven designers who “have deployed over 50 tailors and pattern makers to produce the medically certified garments.”

“This is our own small way of serving the Dubai community and giving back gratitude to the UAE Government,” Michael added.
