Heads up, kids and kids-at-heart from Caloocan—there’s a fun family-friendly cafe to check out in the area.
Madcafe, the homegrown cafe chain known for its fun and quirky themed cafe branches, has a must-visit SM City Grand Central branch. This particular cafe is inspired by the Disney-Pixar film Toy Story!
It’s hard to miss this Toy Story-inspired cafe inside the mall because of its wide open space and eye-catching designs that make the cafe look like it came from the movie.
In the back of the cafe, there are cubby-style booths featuring different designs inspired by Toy Story characters. Inside these private booths are floor cushions, coffee tables, and fun games on the wall like tic-tac-toe. The fun games all around the cafe are great for keeping the kids occupied while waiting for the food.
These booths are also perfect if you’re looking for a place to do some work or study because of the privacy and power sockets inside.
We also love the small details around the cafe that really put together the Toy Story vibe—like the cute child’s drawings of Toy Story characters (all created by Madcafe’s design team), the Woody hats, the splashes of “paint” on the tables, and the wild west-inspired bathroom doors.
Madcafe is also known for its themed drinks that varies per branch. Of course, for a Toy Story-inspired cafe, this branch’s themed drink is the Woody Frappe—a salted caramel frappe matching Woody’s brown cowboy hat and boots.

You can start off your meal with their refreshing Mad Salad (PHP 209) featuring their signature Madcafe vinaigrette.
Then, you can have your fill with your choice of mains—and they have a lot to choose from!
There’s the Candied Pork Belly (PHP 289) which is Madcafe’s sweet version of our favorite grilled liempo. It’s served with garlic rice, a fried egg, and a side salad.
Madcafe’s delicious version of Beef Pares (PHP 319) is another Pinoy favorite on the menu. It’s served with a bowl of beef pares soup, garlic rice, and a whole slab of indulgent roasted bone marrow!
Want to splurge a bit? Try Madcafe’s sizzling Ribeye Steak (PHP 699), served with a side of mashed potatoes or rice and mixed vegetables.
Not up for a hearty meaty meal? You can check out Madcafe’s massive Daing na Bangus (PHP 279). The fish is so huge that it almost won’t fit in the plate along with a hearty serving of garlic rice and side salad.
If you want something a bit light to partner with your choice of Madcafe drink, you can try one of their many pasta choices, like their Creamy Carbonara (PHP 269)!
Finish your feast on a sweet note with Madcafe’s sweet desserts. The Mango French Toast (PHP 249) served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream offers the perfect blend of sweetness and tartness with each bite. And if you’re visiting with your fur baby (because all branches are pet-friendly!), you can also get them a Pup Cup!
We love how Madcafe is truly the cafe for all. Whether you’re a student looking for a space to study, a working professional looking for a place to unwind with your friends after a long day at work, or you’re a family with small kids, fur parents, or you’re just a massive Toy Story fan, you’ll enjoy the fun ambiance and wide variety of food & drinks at Madcafe SM City Grand Central.
