It’s been years since fans of both Liza Soberano and Nancy McDonie from MOMOLAND have pointed out the similarities between the two. For quite some time now people have considered them each others’ doppelgangers or lookalikes. And finally, the opportunity to compare the two side-by-side has come.
The two celebrities got the chance to meet and take some photos together backstage at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2019. According to James Banaag from ABS-CBN, it was Nancy and the other MOMOLAND members who approached Liza and asked for a photo!

Nancy even asked for a solo photo with Liza, which the two later posted on their personal Instagram accounts. Nancy captioned her post: “Nice meeting you Liza” while Liza’s similarly read: “It was nice meeting you @gru_g.ru!”

It was back in April 2018 that Nancy first heard about the comparisons being made between her and Liza. During a Facebook live session Ahin and Daisy from MOMOLAND, Nancy searched photos of Liza online at the behest of fans. She exclaimed over Liza and said she looked like Ariana Grande.
On Liza’s part, she told Philstar sometime in August 2018: “Ako po, ‘di ko nakikita personally. [For me, I personally don’t see it.] She’s really beautiful, but ako po [for me], I don’t see that we look alike. But she’s really very beautiful and talented.”
