Kuya Kim is officially transferring to GMA Network after his long stint as a weatherman and host on ABS-CBN in what he calls a “transition” of his career.
This change is huge not only for Kuya Kim but for Kapamilya viewers who have grown up through the years watching his weather reports and television programs. And it shows just how much this move affects him when he posted a picture of his emotional goodbye to his “TV Patrol” co-news anchors, Noli de Castro and Gretchen Fullido, on Instagram.
“No words,” he said in the caption of the photo, where he is seen hugging the two hosts on the set of the news program.

Many ABS-CBN actors, actresses, and hosts took to the comments to express their support for this new chapter in his career and to share how much they’ll miss him.
“Love you kuya kim,” Angel Locsin said.
“Going to miss you Ninong!!!!!! Love you!” wrote Anne Curtis-Smith.
“God bless, Kuya Kim!” said Gretchen Ho.
“Many good things must end. But many other good things never do,” commented Korina Sanchez.
“My heart is feeling so many emotions for you, Kuya Kim. I know God has chosen this for you! Best of luck on this new journey!” wrote Mikey Bustos.
Others who left comments were Jugs Jugueta, Bubbles Paraiso, Dominic Roque, Billy Crawford, Donita Rose, Kakai Bautista, Amy Perez Castillo, Ogie Alcasid, Vhong Navarro, and many more.
Kuya Kim will now be joining “24 Oras” as the weather presenter starting Monday, October 4, while Mang Tani takes a temporary leave. He will also be hosting a segment in “Mars Pa More” and an untitled trivia television show.
