LOOK: Khao Khai Thai Chicken House Now Has a Branch in Pasay City

Poblacion regulars and foodies are probably already familiar with Khao Khai Thai Chicken House. This food spot in Poblacion, Makati has already become a well-established food destination since it opened its doors back in 2019.

Khao Khai has become a favorite for those craving authentic Thai dishes. Keep in mind, though, that you won’t find the usual pad thai, or tom yum on their menu. They pride themselves in serving distinct Thai street food and Thai-style fried chicken.

After being a food destination only located in the heart of Poblacion, Khao Khai is bringing its famous Thai chicken to more locations. In April, they opened their second location in Quezon City. Now, a month after their expansion, their third location officially opened its doors. Khao Khai is now in SM Mall of Asia!

Their new location is pretty hard to miss, located just by the entrance of the South Parking Building. It’s more elevated than their original space in Poblacion thanks to its air-conditioned dining space. Still, there are elements from the Poblacion branch that they incorporated in the new location, such as the IG-worthy Khao Khai logo wall that can now be seen in all three branches, and the quirky colorful furniture all around.

Whether you’re a regular customer at their Poblacion branch or you’re planning to try their menu for the first time, you can expect the same excellent quality of their savory dishes in all locations.

The star of their menu is the Gai Tod or their signature Thai chicken. It features an amazing blend of spices, extra crunchy skin, and juicy meat! It’s served with dipping sauces and your choice between Jasmine or sticky rice; for the complete experience, we’d recommend the sticky rice.

If you’re in the mood for boneless chicken, you should try their Fried Chicken Krapao. It’s their signature rice bowl with basil fried chicken tenders, stir-fried with beans and herbs. This dish packs a lot of texture and massive flavors in each bite! You can also enjoy their equally flavorful Victory Wings if you’re not up for a rice meal.

Khao Khai is not just about chicken, mind you. They also have must-try pork dishes such as the aromatic Dry Pork Curry and the flavorful Kor Moo Yang.

Their appetizers can’t go unnoticed. Their Toasted Corn might look modest, but it’s packed with lots of distinct flavors. You’ll feel like you’re sitting right in Bangkok! The Farang Fries and Nan Kai Tort (Thai-style chicken skin) are also up there among our top favorite dishes.

Of course, you can’t leave Khao Khai without trying the classic Mango Sticky Rice. They also serve freshly brewed Thai milk tea to enjoy with your meal.

If you haven’t tried the delicious street food-style Thai dishes of Khao Khai, take this as a sign to visit one of their three locations soon! Watch out for updates, too, because they just might open new branches nearer to you.
