Actor and television host KC Montero was among the nearly 100 individuals who were nabbed on Sunday evening while they were dining in at a bar in Makati City.
The Makati City police said in a report that they had received information about “several customers drinking and dining and violating the social distancing” at an establishment in Salcedo Village the amid general community quarantine currently in place over Metro Manila. According to the protocols, bars are still not allowed to operate under the GCQ.
In a series of now-deleted tweets, KC expressed frustration over his arrest even though he claimed physical distancing was being observed. He also lamented how he, among the many others who were taken, were “crammed” in a truck “shoulder to shoulder,” which he said was “the exact opposite of social distancing.”
“I really should’ve stayed home to watch Gilmore Girls,” he added.
