Ex-lovers and former love team partners, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, just resurrected their entire fanbase after the two announced their upcoming virtual drama and made a rather playful and kilig-worthy Twitter exchange.
The two are officially reuniting for their project “Love Unlock” which will be premiering on Saturday, August 15, at 7:30 PM, exclusively on Kapamilya Online Live. “Love Unlock” is a two-part drama series–the first of which, titled “E-numan,” will follow the story about exes facing each other virtually over a round of drinks.
Julia shared the news on her Twitter and tagged Joshua, saying “Cheers!”

Joshua then retweeted Julia and jokingly thanked her for following him back on the social media platform. In response, Julia retweeted him and said, “Sa IG follow back na rin? (Do I follow you back on Instagram too?)”
It can be recalled that Julia made headlines last January when her followers noticed that she unfollowed Joshua and his then-onscreen partner, Janella Salvador, on Instagram.
However, it seems that any bad blood between the two, if there ever was, is long gone now that they can publicly joke about it.
“May pa-unfollow unfollow pa kasi. Sige, papaburger ako, (You just had to unfollow me. Okay, I’ll send you a burger.)” Joshua replied to Julia.
“Wag ka abangers tonight. Bukas na kita follow back (Don’t expect anything tonight. I’ll follow you back tomorrow),” Julia teased.

The Twitter conversation has since gone viral online especially among JoshLia fans who had long been hoping for an onscreen comeback, if not for them to get back together again.
It was in June of last year when the two shocked fans of their sudden breakup. They started taking projects separately since then, with Joshua starring in The Killer Bride with Janella and Julia starring in her digital series I Am U with Tony Labrusca. The last time Julia spoke publicly about Joshua was during a media conference for I Am U wherein she admitted to “outgrowing” him as a loveteam partner.

As of writing, it’s unclear what their individual relationship statuses are.
