During this year’s Milan Fashion Week, Moschino unveiled its latest collection with inflation as the theme. Designer Jeremy Scott talked to Vogue backstage where he elaborated on the concept. “Everybody’s talking about inflation,” Scott told the magazine. “The cost of everything’s going up: housing, food, life. So I took inflation into the collection.”

In line with this, Scott incorporated the concept of pool floaties into the brand’s Spring 2023 collection. As showcased at the recent Moschino Fashion Show, Franco Moschino’s iconic heart was reimagined with a mini inflatable “with a nozzle and everything.” And that’s not all–every look featured an inflatable detail! “Sometimes we feel like we’re drowning,” Scott continued, referring to the current events that flood our feeds. “I’m sure you do. I know I do. But no matter what is going on, we have to save space for joy, right? The darker it is, the lighter I have to be.”
