The Philippines is the social media capital of the world and Makati is the selfie capital of the world, so we bet the MacBook selfie stick is going to be big here.
The website https://macbookselfiestick.com/ has released a series of photos of people using it in New York, with some people looking out of curiosity.
In the photos, users are seen using it with two hands, as MacBooks weigh two pounds.
We’re sad to report that it’s not for sale as the photos are part of an art series by Moises, John Yuyi and Tom Galle, who have created tech-centered series before.
We’re not sure what the artists’ statement is, but we think it’s a satire of how obsessed people are becoming with taking selfies, even using unwieldy gadgets to take them. In this case, it’s a MacBook.
