It’s official, Paulo Avelino is joining the cast of the upcoming movie adaptation of Darna!
This news was confirmed by his manager, Leo Dominguez, in an Instagram post last week wherein he screencapped a news article by FashionPulis. On the caption, he wrote: “#PauloAvelino joins #darna.”
He did not reveal what Paulo’s role was going to be in the movie, however. In the FashionPulis article, it was alleged that Paulo was cast to be Jane De Leon’s leading man but it has yet to be confirmed.
It was only last January 20 when director Jerrold Tarog revealed that shooting for Darna has commenced. It is unknown who else apart from Paulo and Jane are part of the cast.

Aside from Darna, Paulo will also be starring in an upcoming teleserye titled Burado with Nadine Lustre, Zanjoe Marudo, Julia Montes, and Thai actor Denkhun Ngamnet.
