LOOK: Inventor creates a real-life flying hoverboard!

A few years back, there was a lot of hype over what was misnamed as the ‘hoverboard‘ where it was a hot-buy for many teens and even adults, probably, for easier transportation. Now, a real-life hoverboard flew over a military parade in Paris.

In Back to the Future 2, you’d know that the hoverboard is quite useful and is definitely more advanced than the mass-produced hoverboard and any other regular skateboard or scooter. And even if you haven’t watched Back To The Future, you might have heard of the self-lacing shoes that Nike has brought to life.

Army reservist, former JetSki world champion and French inventor Franky Zapata was seen flying on his “flyboard” with a rifle in his hand at the traditional July 14 Bastille Day military parade in Paris, France.

According to Metro News, Zapata said that his hoverboard invention is quite similar to the one Marty McFly used in Back to the Future.

Zapata’s flying platform, named after its founder, is propelled by five jet engines and is powered by gas turbines. In 2017, even though it was functional, the aerial vehicle was actually banned in France due to security reasons.

The Flyboard Air which had three years in the making can reach an altitude of nearly 500 feet and higher with a speed of up to 90 miles per hour.
