To express gratitude to frontliners and health workers, students from Batangas National High School created tributes in the form of letters, poems, and drawings.
Among the many tributes from these high school students is this drawing inspired by Daje Pinpiño’s artwork that reimagines COVID-19 frontliners as Katipuneros.

Other students also wrote letters to frontliners, thanking them for the sacrifices they make amid the pandemic. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude for their bravery and strength during this difficult time.
One student even said, “Not all heroes wear capes, some wear PPEs.” Another student also wrote a poem dedicated to frontliners, calling them “bayaning buhay” (living heroes).
According to their teacher, Janet Lacerna Luneta, she gave this a “special task” for her students during the ECQ. This aims to give importance and positivity to frontliners amid the pandemic. She also said that this is to inspire her students and make them aware of the reality of this crisis.
