After winning the first Olympic gold for the Philippines for weightlifting, Hidlyn Diaz marks another milestone with a magazine cover.
Diaz landed the cover for Tatler Philippines‘ 20th anniversary issue.

According to the magazine, “the Zamboanga-born weightlifting champion embodies the same excellence and influence that define this premier luxury magazine in the Philippines today. She narrates her losses and wins in life, and how her passion and perseverance kept her eyes on the prize.”
Photographer Mark Nicdao shared more photos of the shoot on his Instagram page. According to him, “what an honour to photograph you Hidilyn, you are a true Filipino hero.”

Diaz also shared the photos, saying, “sa gitna ng napakaraming challenges, nangyayari ang dapat mangyari nang maganda, mahusay at mabuti! Pagod ako nu’ng kinunan ito – pero sobrang saya ko! Ang ganda talaga!!!“
Liz Uy styled Diaz, while Juan Sarte did her makeup and Celeste Tuviera did her hair. Isabel Francisco produced the shoot.
