Its Showtime

It’s Showtime is one of the variety shows that have stopped admitting live audiences due to the COVID-19 scare.

According to ABS-CBN, they have “decided to temporarily stop admitting studio audience to its shows starting today (10 March 2020), following the government’s declaration of a state of public health emergency.”

“The safety and well-being of our studio audience, artists, crew, and production teams are of utmost importance to us and we are taking this option for their protection. We feel that it is our shared responsibility to help in preventing the spread of the COVID-19,” it added.

So today, It’s Showtime aired without any live audience. Here’s what it looked like:

There’s no word when the temporary suspension will lift.

Yesterday, the Department of Health announced 14 new cases, bringing the total to 24. The cases are admitted in various hospitals.
