In case you were wondering why many of your friends turned into cartoon characters last night, that’s because Facebook unrolled its avatar feature. Now, you can turn yourself into a cartoon character and use it as your profile and cover photos, or in comments, Stories, and Messenger.
So how do you do it?
All you need to do is open your Facebook app, tap on the three lines at the bottom right, then tap “See More.” From there, you can tap on “Avatar.”
You can customize your entire avatar, from your skin tone to your outfit and makeup (optional). You can’t mix and match the outfits, but there are plenty of options so you can find the pair that closely matches your style.
Here’s what mine looks like, based on what I look now:
Once you’re done with your avatar, you can see what your avatar will look like as a sticker, which you can use as a comment. To use it, simply go to any post and click on the smiling face next to the “Write a comment” space. Click on the purple emoji and all your avatar stickers will appear.
Now you have your avatar. Have fun!
