In case you haven’t heard (though it’s close to impossible that you haven’t), beloved Filipino family film Four Sisters and a Wedding is getting a second movie following the story of Teddie, Gabbie, Bobbie, and Alex as young kids.
The news first broke out at the start of this year and was instantly met with excitement among Pinoys who loved the 2013 hit comedy and know its iconic lines by heart. Since then, updates have been far and few in between. But now, it’s official: they’ve finally started filming!

Young actress Alexa Ilacad announced on Instagram over the weekend that she has started taping with her onscreen sisters, Charlie Dizon, Gillian Vicencio, and Belle Mariano. “Day 1: rolling!” she said.
Alexa will be playing the role of Corporate Communications Manager Bobbie (originally played by Bea Alonzo), while Charlie, Gillian, and Belle will be playing as charismatic eldest sister Teddie (Toni Gonzaga), independent Alex (Angel Locsin), and level-headed Gabbie (Shaina Magdayao).
Alex also revealed that the director for the upcoming movie will be Mae Cruz Alviar (Dolce Amore, Crazy Beautiful You) instead of Giselle Andres, who was initially said to be helming it when the news was first dropped.

Four Sisters and a Wedding follows the story of the Salazar siblings who reunite to stop their young brother’s wedding. It stars Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Angel Locsin, Shaina Magdayao, Coney Reyes, and Enchong Dee.
The movie is loved by fans for its many iconic quotes and scenes — the most prominent of which is the confrontation scene.
