In commemoration of the Philippine Independence Day last Saturday, Heart Evangelista proudly showed off her newest creation that celebrated Filipino culture: a stunning artwork that was hand-painted on her white Louis Vuitton bag!
The artist-actress shared photos of herself holding her piece on Instagram as she wrote, “Proudly Filipino.”
The artwork depicted a long-haired woman wearing a Filipiniana dress and holding up a fan while a man strummed a guitar in the background. It also featured a black and white dog, listening in to the man’s “harana” (song of love).
Heart is known for her talent in painting not only on canvases but on her luxury bags as well. She once shared that the idea came to her when she accidentally spilled cheese fries all over her orange purse and, finding out that Kim Kardashian herself owned a hand-painted Birkin, decided to cover up the stain with her art. She has then been commissioned by several celebrities over the years to personalize their own designer bags.
