The Office of the Vice President (OVP) partnered with Hey Homies! condominiums this week to bring food and smiles to Manila’s street dwellers and frontliners.
Johemie Quiñones, one of the volunteers distributing food around Manila, wore a Spider-Man suit as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

They were able to benefit those living in various streets of Manila as well as frontliners such as village officials, bodyguards, food delivery riders, and security guards.
According to Johemie, the initiative was born from the concern of college students living in the Hey Homies! condominiums. These students were worried about the homeless roaming around Manila as they are typically the ones donating food items to them but are unable to do so anymore with the enhanced community quarantine in effect.
“Sa gitna ng matinding pagsubok, gaya ngayon, hindi pa rin matatawaran ang diwa ng pagtutulungan at pag-asa sa mga Pilipino,” VP Leni Robredo ends her post.
