It is no secret that the entire country was affected by the death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant earlier this week. It was a shock to many, especially the basketball fans in the country, and so many establishments even showed their love for Kobe by lighting up their buildings in yellow and purple lights and posting messages for him all over the Metro.

One of his fans who really took the event to heart is Justin Moya Samson, who decided to get a tattoo in memory of his basketball idol. Justin shares that he was really planning on getting another tattoo, but didn’t have any idea what to get yet. When he heard the tragic news last Monday, he shares that he went to the office crying and feeling helpless. “I kept wishing I could’ve seen him before he died,” he shares. “I wish I could’ve told him not to ride that chopper. I was even trying to tell myself that all of it was just a hoax, fake news, but it wasn’t.”
That’s when he decided to get a tattoo of Kobe. Check it out:
It was part of Justin’s bucket list to meet Kobe. He explains his tattoo to us: “Getting a tattoo of him on my legs meant for me that every step that I make, he’s with me along the way. Every risk I take means he’s part of that decision. And now, he will always be a part of me.”
He adds: “Kobe has been and will always be my basketball GOAT, since day 1. He means a lot to me because he showed me that perseverance and hard work pays off, that being hated and doubted means motivation for you to prove them wrong and one of the best feelings in the world is silencing them.
