El Nido Palawan is entering its second phase of tourism reset with the endorsement of the Department of Tourism led by Secretary Bernadette Romulo- Puyat and Municipal Mayor Edna Lim.
The successful travel bubble runs pioneered by El Nido Resorts which started in July and the support from stakeholders prompted Ten Knots Group to gradually reopen Lio Beach and two of its resorts, Huni Lio and Seda Lio, under a similar travel bubble setup which started last November 20 and will continue in time for the Holidays. Under this setup, guests with confirmed bookings will depart via scheduled AirSWIFT flights from NAIA Terminal 3 in Manila wherein all passengers and crew are RT-PCR tested at least 72 hours prior to their scheduled departure. Guests and employees coming from outside of El Nido are likewise required to follow LGU-mandated guidelines.
Lio Beach is Ayala Land’s first sustainable tourism estate located in mainland El Nido with its own airport terminal that allows for direct access. It has gradually gained traction as a beach town with hotels and resorts along a sweeping 4.2-km coastline, as well as nature trails and lagoons under the careful watch of certified environmental stewards. Trail hikes and non-motorized water activities are great ways to avoid crowds.
Lio Beach will follow strict health and safety protocols including thermal scanning, wearing of personal protective equipment, contact tracing, physical distancing, and strict observance of curfew hours for common areas and operational establishments.Lio Beach continues to align its policies with relevant agencies and international standards on safety and hygiene to ensure that COVID-19 preventive measures are implemented for the benefit of guests, employees, and the community at large.
