On June 1, Disney stepped into a magical rainbow and held its very own Magical Pride celebration at Disneyland Paris. This marks the first time that a Disney theme park officially celebrated Pride.
In honor of Pride, the park extended its operating hours until late in the night, held a Magic Lip Sync-Along competition, and hosted performances from French disco star Corine, British band Years & Years – who covered ‘Reflection’ from Mulan and Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ among their own songs – and DJ sets from SindyKatz and Boy George!

Now, what would a Pride and a Disney theme park be without a grand parade? The parade featured marchers in rainbow t-shirts, Corine and Boy George, and appearances from favorite Disney characters from Toy Story, Aladdin, Ratatouille, and Lilo & Stitch.
Of course, the OG Disney couple Mickey and Minnie also appeared clad in their very own Pride outfits.
Hopefully, this historical moment will inspire more of Disney’s theme parks – and more theme parks, in general – to celebrate Pride, as well.
