LOOK: Despite upsetting loss, Japan leaves locker room spotless with ‘Thank You’ note

A few days ago, one of the most upsetting losses in the World Cup happened when Japan lost to Belgium with a score of 2-3.

From having a 2-0 lead and then losing with 3-2, Japan saw unbelievable highs and saddening lows in that game.

Japan’s Genki Haraguchi and Takashi Inui scored amazing goals at the start of the match. However, Belgium’s Jan Vertonghen and Fellaini scored as well to tie the game.

Then, Japan had to bow out with the last minute goal by Belgium’s Nacer Chadli.

But they left the same way they played – pure class act.

Japan knows how to bow out with grace. The Samurai Blues stayed after the match to thank their fans for the support.

They also left their locker spotless before heading home. They even left a thank you note.

Even the fans cleaned up their area in the stadium like they usually do.

Japan may not have made it to the quarterfinals, but they showed the world the true spirit of the World Cup.

They may have lost the match but they won our hearts.
