The band made the announcement on its Twitter page on Wednesday, April 8, and thanked fans for their neverending support. They successfully surpassed American artists Doja Cat and Cardi B, Kpop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and more.

“It’s our dream to share our music to a global audience one day,” Ben&Ben wrote in its tweet. “Let’s get there together!”

The Billboard Social 50 is a popularity chart that ranks the most active musical artists on the world’s leading social networking services. It is based collectively on each artist’s weekly additions of friends, fans, and followers, along with artist website views and streaming media.

It was just last Saturday when Ben&Ben broke the news that it entered the global music chart at rank 48, just below Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny. What a huge jump in just a matter of days!

The band is also scheduled to release a new song titled “Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin” which they wrote while in quarantine amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

They have also made fundraising efforts for the benefit of medical front liners and daily wage workers through an online concert last March 27, 2020. They had raised PHP 4.22 million as of writing.
