Singer Lana Del Rey may not have performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, but she was inspired by recent events to write a new song. And she gave a preview on her Instagram account!
According to the singer on Instagram, she was inspired after “spending the weekend dancing whilst watching tensions with North Korea mount.” She described it as a “tightrope between being vigilantly observant of everything going on in the world and also having enough space and time to appreciate God’s good earth the way it was intended to be appreciated.”
Because of the experience, she went to an old, favorite place of hers to sit by “the sequoia grove and write a little song,” in the hopes that “one individual’s hope and prayer for peace might contribute to the possibility of it in the long run.”
