Remember the 2000s when there always seemed to be a Lindsay Lohan movie coming soon?
You’re not imagining it. From 2000 to 2010, there was at least one Lohan movie in most of those years: Life-Size (2000), Get a Clue (2002), Freaky Friday (2003), Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), Mean Girls (2004), Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), A Prairie Home Companion (2006), Just My Luck (2006), Bobby (2006), Chapter 27 (2007), Georgia Rule (2007), I Know Who Killed Me (2007), Labor Pains (2009), and Machete (2010).
She had a string of roles after that but her last movie was The Canyons in 2013.
It looks like she’s having a comeback as Lindsay Lohan is set to star in three Netflix movies.
The first is Falling For Christmas, which is already scheduled to be released later this year. According to Netflix, “In the film, Lohan plays a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner (Chord Overstreet) and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
The two other movies are part of a recent deal with the streaming platform. There’s no word yet what the two projects will be.
Christina Rogers, the director for Netflix’s Independent Film, said, “We’re so happy with our collaboration with Lindsay to date, and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with her. We look forward to bringing more of her films to our members around the world.”
Apart from the movies mentioned above, Lohan also starred in The Parent Trap in 1998. She has also appeared in shows like That ’70s Show, Ugly Betty, and 2 Broke Girls. Lohan released the albums Speak and A Little More Personal (Raw).
Outside of show business, the actress has Lohan Beach House, a VIP beach house club in Mykonos and Rhodes. The business was the setting of the docu-series Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club.
