Celebrating 65 Joyful years of friendship between Indonesia and the Philippines, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta will showcase an array of the Philippinesโ€™ best dishes cooked by Filipino Chef, Jam Melchor.

The Philippinesโ€™ own Chef Jam Melchor designed and will be preparing the menu. Growing up in Pampanga, one of the countryโ€™s culinary centres, the young chef jam decided to pursue his love for cooking by undergoing ย formal education, earning his diploma in culinary arts. He is an active slowfood advocate promoting local, indigenous organic ingredients and Filipino heirloomย  recipesย  andย  ownsย  HEALTHYย  EATSย  MANILAยฎ notedย  asย  oneย  of manilaโ€™s top healthy diet food delivery services.

Filipino food has deep and complex taste that is described as LINAMNAM. Literallyย  meaningย  โ€œdeliciousnessโ€ย  yetย  signifyingย  muchย  more.ย  Itย  isย  theย  root word for malinamnam, which is how a Filipino might describe the tastiness and aroma of a dish.
