Lights For Hope

Lights For Hope is one of Ateneo de Manila University’s biggest events. It is an annual event where Ateneo student volunteers interact with children from partner institutions. With the support of sponsors and other partners, all come together for a day in the spirit of love, service, and hope.

Celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, Lights for Hope 18 aims to continue touching more lives and inspiring children to hope for a brighter future and reach for their dreams.

This day-long event is divided into two segments filled with fun activities that would foster the holistic formation of all the participants. This day-long event is divided into two kinds of programs filled with fun activities that would foster the holistic formation of all the participants. One program will be conducted by the facilitators with their respective group of kids in the classrooms. They will be guided by modules that would allow the children to use their creativity and imagination, ultimately centered on encouraging them to dream big. The other program will be held in the Ateneo High School Covered Courts which is filled with performances, games, and fair-type booths for the children to enjoy with the members of the Ateneo community. Lights For Hope will be accommodating approximately 800 children from areas associated with the Ateneo de Manila and Jesuit apostolate communities and will muster the volunteerism of at least 400 members of the Ateneo de Manila community. The event will be held on March 2, 2019, Saturday, from 7 am to 6 pm.

In line with this, we would like to seek for your help in making Lights for Hope become more memorable, enjoyable, and meaningful for the kids and volunteers alike by being a benefactor. Any amount that you can share will surely go a long way in putting a bright smile on over a thousand children’s faces! In case you are interested to send in a donation, please message the Lights for Hope Facebook page: and we’ll send you the necessary information there.

This event is co-presented by JCE Inflatables and Party Needs. Together with our sponsors:, Booky, Trampoline Park Philippines, and Seanluc Inc, and our media partners: and 99.5 Play FM.
