Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers – PUP Student Chapter (PIIE-PUPSC), an organization for Industrial Engineering students of PUP Manila, is holding a two-session year-level seminar this March 20 to enlighten and guide the aspiring Industrial Engineers to their career and future endeavors.
The PIIE-PUPSC Year Level Seminar is one of the most anticipated events conducted by the organization, which were participated by at least 800 Industrial Engineering students from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and different universities from the country. For this year, the theme is Lighthouse: Illuminating the Path of Nation’s Future Industrial Engineers. The organizers’ goals are to illuminate the students about the path they are heading and build social consciousness from a perspective of an Industrial Engineer.
While the event was traditionally held face to face, this year it will be conducted online via Zoom. The event consists of two sessions – the first session is composed of first- and second-year students, highlighting the knowledge about the field and industry ahead of them and the essence of Industrial Engineering. The last session is dedicated to the remaining year levels which focus to aid the students in choosing their career path, discussing the specific field of jobs in the industry, and the application of Industrial Engineering in the crisis.
