On April 22, 2017, Matthew 5:16 Ministries will hold its first theater performance entitled, ALAB: SPARKS OF METANOIA at the Pineapple Lab, “an arts and performance hub dedicated to finding innovative ways to showcase the works of Filipino art makers, international artists, and collaborators.” ALAB is the FIRST Theater Event and the debut performance of Matthew 5:16 Ministries’ production arm, Light Theater Production. ALAB will be co-presented by the Pineapple Lab.
Matthew 5:16 Ministries is a non-stock, non-profit cell-based church that is geared towards discipleship. This first World Premiere is aimed to cater to artists, young adults, young professionals and theater enthusiasts to be reminded that God’s love never fails through the gift of theater. ALAB will consist of vignettes and dance pieces depicting different conflict situations and journeys toward the (re)discovery of the astounding love of God. ALAB performers include Via Antonio, Nicco Manalo, Jay Gonzaga, Vance Larena, Al Bernard Garcia, Carlon Matobato, Nikki & Niño Mendoza & Family, and other theater performers and student-artists advocating their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
