LiftHard Philippines has 2 classes for your liking: FitCamp, fit for beginners who want cardio exercises using bodyweight movements; and MetCon (Metabolic Conditioning), a cross training class incorporating Olympic weightlifting, Powerlifting and gymnastics skills. For first-timers, trying the FitCamp for your trial is recommended, but personally, even beginners can take the MetCon classes, which I found the pace to my liking — and it introduced me to the power of lifting, too!

HUGE playground. LiftHard has one of the biggest gyms in the metro, which means a lot of space to move around! A 100 m sprint is 100 meters — no need for cramped workouts! All that room is great for simultaneous training. While at one end, a MetCon class is taking place, on the other, athletes are working on their muscle strength for Barbell Club.

Access to coaches. The coaches at LiftHard are more than just trainers — they’re there every step of the way in your fitness journey. Coming from a year-long membership at a conventional gym, it was frustrating for me with limited fitness knowledge to come up to a trainer who charges you extra for coaching. At LiftHard, the coaches are always there to help you with your training — aside from giving you support and motivation during your classes, when you’re just clocking in some extra time doing some lifting, don’t be surprised if they just approach you while giving you tips on how to better improve your stance and all!
