After a fruitful year of curating gigs and events in and out of the metro since its establishment in 2016, Quid Pro Quo (Quids for short because we know how hard it is for you guys to pronounce it) will be culminating their last gig for the year with their first anniversary “Quids Night Out” this coming November 25 (Saturday) starting 2pm onwards.
The 12-hour long music festival will consist of 21 bands mixing up beloved well-established acts like Autotelic, Miles Experience, Orange & Lemons, Ben & Ben, AngBandang Shirley, The Ransom Collective, Oh, Flamingo, and rising names such as IV of Spades, Ysanygo, ASCH, The Bedtime Stories and many more.
The quids also believe in supporting not just local music but also establishments and businesses which is why they are bringing in food and apparel merchants to come and sell their stuff at QuidsNight Out. Crowd favorites Silly Garlic and Jess & Pat’s will be there as well as food stops Takobar, Café Pastello, and The Manila’s Overloaded Burgers. Culture shops Magaion and The Hippie Kid will also be selling their tees at the event.
Aside from that, attendees aren’t gonna go empty-handed here for a number of reasons such as free-flowing drinks c/o TanduayRhum (from 2 pm – 7 pm), free lemonade (for the minors), and raffle prizes like Bluetooth Speakers c/o Kingsley Designer Fabric Bluetooth Speakers and shirts c/o OPM memes.
Quid Pro Quo is a music production that curates gigs and events that build avenues for musicians to grow in the music scene. Since its establishment last November 25, 2016, Quid Pro Quo has garnered a number of notable gigs created in various establishments in the metro; working with new and well-established acts in the local independent music scene. The production was also given the privilege to host a stage for the revered annual music event: Fête de la Musique 2017 handling the Island Music stage at Aloha Bar & Grill, The Collective, Makati. Quid Pro Quo also curates a monthly gig every last Wednesday of the month entitled “Quids Next Door” held at Pablo’s Pub & Restaurant, BGC where new and starting local acts are given the spotlight to showcase their talents. The production has also recently co-handled the famed Nalu Music Festival held at Baler, Aurora last May of 2017.
