Fans of the original Pretty Little Liars, we have news for you: Lea Salonga will be joining the reboot as a series regular!
The reboot will be called Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. According to Variety, “The series is set in the present, 20 years after a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart.”
It adds, “Now, a disparate group of teen girls — the new ‘Little Liars’ — find themselves tormented by an unknown “Assailant” and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago, as well as their own.”
The main cast will include Chandler Kinney as Tabby, Maia Reficco as Noa, Bailee Madison as Imogen, Zaria as Faran, Malia Pyles as Minnie, Alex Aiono as Shawn, Mallory Bechtel as Karen, and Eric Johnson as Sheriff Beasley.
Salonga will play Elodie, Minnie’s “overbearing mother who works overtime to protect her daughter from her childhood trauma.”
Filming for the show began last August. There’s no word when Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will be released.
