“Hey baby”, was one of Lamar Odom’s first words to estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, after waking up from an overdose-induced coma last Friday, according to reports. The former NBA star was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and was in a coma for three days.
Reports say that though Lamar has been showing signs of improvement since his miraculous recovery, he is still undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure, as well as undergoing tests for doctors to determine the extent of possible brain damage.
Khloe has not reportedly left his side since he was brought to the hospital, and is closely working with a team of doctors to make sure that Lamar receives the best treatment. She also delivers gift baskets to hospital staff every day, and thanks the doctors and nurses daily for their care.
Former teammates such as LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant and LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin have visited Lamar in his Nevada hospital. Kobe reportedly faked an injury during a game and flew to Nevada almost immediately after learning that Lamar was hospitalized. The NBA superstar stayed in Lamar’s hospital room for 12 hours.
Members of the Kardashian family Kris, Kim, Kendall, and Kylie have all visited Lamar in the hospital, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians has temporarily stopped filming.
