It’s only been a few days since Lady Gaga dropped the absolute bop that is her song “Sour Candy” in collaboration with Kpop girl group BLACKPINK, but it’s already dominated multiple music charts all over the world. In fact, it took the number one spot in the iTunes Song charts in 57 regions worldwide in just one day!
Lady Gaga released “Sour Candy” on Thursday, May 28, a day ahead of her full Chromatica album release which marks BLACKPINK’s second major collaboration with an international artist.
The song also debuted at number 6 on the global Spotify chart with over 3.67 million streams which is reportedly the biggest debut for a song by a girl group in Spotify history.

BLACKPINK is currently among the biggest Kpop groups today since their debut in 2016. They’re best known for their tracks “Boombayah,” “Whistle,” and “Kill This Love.” They plan to release a new single next month and their next full-length album in September.
