Kythe Family Day  2017: The InKyredibles

Kythe Flying Day Wheninmanila1

Kythe Family Day is a community relations event of Kythe-Ateneo, a student arm of Kythe Incorporated, a non-stock, non-profit organization, aimed towards improving the quality of life of pediatric patients with chronic illnesses through its Child Life Program. The Child Life Program aims to alleviate the stress and anxiety a child faces in the hospital setting and promote their normal growth and development. As a community relations event, Kythe Family Day brings together the entire Kythe Community – the kids, families, Child Life Coordinators, Kythe survivors, Kythe alumni, and the current Kythers – to celebrate life.

This year, Kythe Family Day puts the spotlight on the superheroes of our community, the kids and their families, to highlight how the kids are indeed strong and resilient and their parents who are supportive along the way. The theme also emphasizes how each child has their individual goals, dreams, talents, and skills, also known as their “superpowers.” The event just goes to show that not all superheroes wear capes. As such, the event is rightfully named Kythe Family Day  2017: The InKyredibles. The event will be on November 18, 2017 at Ayala Heights Covered Courts.

Approximately 60 kids and their families from Kythe-affiliated hospitals and 200 volunteers will be present at the event. Help make the family day of our community into a reality by sponsoring our expenses.
