“Kung Barko Ako, Siya Yung Fuel,” Gerald Anderson Talks About How Julia Barretto Loves

In an episode of Star Cinema’s YouTube talk show I Feel U, Gerald Anderson was asked by host Toni Gonzaga about how his girlfriend, actress Julia Barretto, loves.

“Si Julia, what kind of love does she give you?” Toni asked. Gerald could be seen taken aback by the question, as he said with a smile, “Oh wow.” He continued, “Unconditional.” The actor shared that Julia is the kind whom he knows will always be by his side, no matter what. He then quipped, “Kung barko ako, sya yung nagbibigay sa’kin ng power or fuel para tuloy-tuloy ang laban sa buhay.”

These metaphoric words had Toni gushing, responding with “Taray! Iba na talaga mga ano mo ngayon, Ge!”

Gerald also acknowledges the challenges he faced, in terms of his private life that was thrown into the spotlight the past two years. “Grabe yung growth ko from failures, sa mga pagkakamali, at mga shortcomings ko kesa sa mga success na nakuha ko sa buhay.”

Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto had been rumored to be romantically linked since 2019, after the tumultuous split between Anderson and then-girlfriend, Bea Alonzo. After two years of keeping the relationship under the wraps, Gerald Anderson finally admitted that he and Julia are together in an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda last March. Since the admittance, both Julia and Gerald have been on the receiving end of criticism from the public, but as Julia also previously addressed, she is “never going to be affected by it.”

Watch the interview here, starting at the 32:43 mark.
