Kris Aquino has taken to Instagram on Monday morning, May 16, to inform her fans and friends that her sickness has already reached a stage where it’s already “life-threatening” and that she will finally be flying out of the country this week to get treatment.
“Yung chismis na na-confine ako, na nasa ICU, na nag-aagaw buhay, masyado kayong advanced,” Kris can be heard saying in the video she uploaded. “I’m leaving tomorrow, para klaro ang lahat. And dahil gusto niyong patayin na ako – well, I am not yet dead. I am going to fight to stay alive.”
In the caption of her post, she revealed that they found out about the critical level of her illness around the end of April. She currently has three confirmed autoimmune conditions: chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, and Churg-Strauss Syndrome (aka EGPA).

“I’ve always been proud of my honesty & courage. Ginusto ko na makalipad sana ng tahimik pero utang ko po sa mga nagdarasal na gumanda ang aking kalusugan ang mag THANK YOU & to tell the TRUTH,” Kris continued.
“We’ve been closely consulting with a Filipino-American doctor and his team in Houston, Texas. Here the majority of my doctors practice in St Luke’s BGC and/or Makati Medical Center except my neurologist who has clinics in Asian, Perpetual & Medical City. They are all worried about organ damage in my heart & in my lungs. Kaya lahat ng paraan sinubukan for me to get to Houston soonest.”
She added, “Yung gamot that God willing can help save me doesn’t have FDA approval here or in Singapore & isasabay na po mag-infuse ng chemotherapy as my immunosuppressant. Why? Allergic po ako sa lahat ng steroids.”
She then ended her post by appealing to all to refrain from commenting anything negative or hurtful to her following this update for the sake of her two sons, Josh and Bimby.
“Hindi niyo po ako kailangan gustuhin para magpakatao… please don’t punish Kuya & Bimb for being my sons. Hindi po masama ang maglakas ng loob at magsabi ng sobrang bigat na katotohanan,” she expressed.
We’ll be praying for her safety and her speedy recovery.
