Will Kim Soo-hyun Star in the Korean Adaptation of ‘American Psycho’?

OH. MY. GOD. I don’t remember the last time I was this excited about something.

Kim Soo-hyun, who recently starred in the absolutely amazing KDrama ‘It’s Okay to Not be Okay‘, first won me over in ‘My Love From the Star’. Since then, I have tried to watch as many of his Korean dramas as possible. Aside from being easy on the eyes, Soo-hyun is a great actor and has always played such great roles. Plus, he has beautiful hands (weird thing to note, I know, but whatever :p).

‘American Psycho’, on the other hand, is my all-time favorite book (written by Bret Easton Ellis) and one of the most unforgettable movies of its time (starring Christian Bale). The story revolves around a rich investment banker named Patrick Bateman, who has an incredibly vivid imagination and an uncontrollable bloodlust. There is a lot of blood, a lot of death, and a lot of sex in ‘American Psycho’; and it turns out that there is going to be a Korean adaptation of the Hollywood movie soon.

The exciting part? Sports Chosun has reported that Soo-hyun has been offered the role of Patrick Bateman in said Korean adaptation, which is set to be a Netflix Original titled ‘Finger’. We already know that Soo-hyun is no stranger to sex scenes (he has quite a few in ‘Real’), but do you think he can pull off the insanity of Patrick Bateman?

If things go swimmingly, the drama will be released on Netflix sometime next year.
