However, the agency released a statement dismissing the allegations.
“The claims made by HoverLab Inc. in their YouTube broadcast about Kim Soo Hyun are clearly false and baseless,” it wrote, according to an English translation from Soompi. “These malicious claims directed at our company and actor Kim Soo Hyun are entirely false and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. We are currently reviewing the strongest possible legal actions against HoverLab Inc. for spreading these falsehoods.”
“Our company is deeply saddened by the passing of the late Kim Sae Ron, who was once part of our agency, and we mourn her loss. However, the dissemination of such false information by HoverLab Inc. mirrors the very behavior of so-called “cyber wreckers” that caused the late actress so much pain during her lifetime. Their actions, driven solely by self-interest, not only damage our company but also tarnish the honor of the deceased, and thus we will respond to this matter with the utmost seriousness,” it added.
The agency strongly urged the public not to spread, amplify, or reproduce the claims against the 37-year-old actor.
Kim Sae-ron was found dead in her home on February 16. She was only 24-years-old.
She was a former child star who played roles in films such as A Brand New Life and The Man From Nowhere. She also starred in television series like Secret Healer and Nobody Knows.
However, her acting career was negatively impacted after a drunk driving incident in 2022. In the same year, her contract with her former agency expired.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun is a multi-award-winning actor who has appeared in numerous popular television drama series such as Moon Embracing the Sun, My Love From The Star, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and Queen of Tears.
