Some people continue to ask about the Kim Ji-soo issue from the past ever since his breakout role in Black Rider and his success in building a career in the Philippines.
In case you didn’t know, Ji-soo is now based in the Philippines and has been busy with an impressive array of projects. He is set to star in the highly-anticipated film Mujigae, and has also made an appearance at the GMA Gala where he even grabbed the Red Carpet Scene Stealer award.
Recently, Ji-soo also joined the cast of the long-running GMA medical drama Abot Kamay Na Pangarap. In addition to signing a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center for his endorsement deals, he has launched a new series of vlogs on his YouTube channel Jisoo Road, and created a TikTok account to further engage with his ever-growing fanbase.

Despite these exciting developments though, the former Kim Ji-soo issue doesn’t seem to rest. Some comments on social media continue to reference the Kim Ji-soo issue of past allegations of school violence that had already been addressed. To refresh your memory, back in 2021, Ji-soo faced accusations regarding incidents from his school years, including claims of bullying, which he has since resolved.
In an article by South Korean site Sports Chosun, there are explanations of how the Kim Ji-soo issue was resolved. He says, “I’ve been able to clear up misunderstandings with the friends involved. We talked and reconciled, and I am now focused on moving forward with my life and career.”

Ji-soo also stated, “Many rumors have become public knowledge and established facts because of things I didn’t do. All sexual assault allegations were false, and even an apology was received.”

Despite the comments made on the Kim Ji-soo issue though, the South Korean actor remains committed to his career and grateful for his fans, especially in the Philippines. Reflecting on his projects, he shares, “I am truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here. The support from my Filipino fans has been overwhelming, and there is so much more I want to accomplish.”
Ji-soo is ready to further level up his acting career as well. He shares, “I want to challenge myself with a play or musical. I also want to make a short film and I find filming on YouTube fun. I studied English a lot during my break, so I want to do an English performance. I want to try acting in English in a global production.”
With his renewed focus, Ji-soo is poised for more success in the entertainment industry. Keep an eye out for what’s next from this talented and resilient actor.
