After weeks of speculations, Kim Chiu briefly addressed her relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Xian Lim, through Maricel Soriano’s YouTube vlog dated December 16.

As Soriano acted as her yaya (nanny) for a day, she asked the “Chinita Princess” about her love life, “Ang dami-daming nagbubulungan, kamusta daw ang love life mo? Tinatanong nila ang love life mo eh. Hindi naman ako makasagot dahil hindi naman ako ikaw [A lot of people are gossiping and asking about your love life. I can’t answer because I’m not you].”
Chiu responded, “Sinong nagtatanong sayo? [Who’s asking you?].”
“Mga fans mo. Nagtatanong sila [Your fans. They’re asking],” Soriano said.
The “It’s Showtime” host burst into laughter before answering the question, then she revealed, “Ang love life ko ay naka-hang ngayon [My love life is left hanging].”
“Parang telepono ba? Naka-hang? [Like a telephone hanging?],” Soriano asked, to which Chiu replied, “Oo, oo [Yes, yes].”
She didn’t disclose further details about the matter.
On December 12, Lim removed all the videos on his YouTube channel, including his travel vlogs with Chiu. He also remained mum on the breakup rumors.
Chiu, on the other hand, reiterated in an interview with ABS-CBN News in November that she wanted to keep the issue private, “Sa amin na lang yun, we’ll just keep it to ourselves na muna [It’s just between us, we’ll just keep it to ourselves first].”

The two started dating in 2012 but only confirmed their relationship to the public in 2018.
