KC Concepcion is using her platform to share a little bit of body positivity.
On an Instagram post, she shared some photos of herself that were shot for Preview magazine.
In the caption, she said, “I am no longer a child… I am a WOMAN. And I will break the standards of beauty- or dare I say, ASIAN beauty, if I need to- by EMBRACING my CURVES.”
Concepcion added, “There are so many more women like me who have been shamed for their natural voluptuousness and made to cover and hide for TOO LONG. If you are like me, you need to know you are BEAUTIFUL in whatever shape or size — it’s your body, take care of her, love her, make her better. Ok ladies and ladies at heart: stay healthy, happy and sexy!!! Do you hear me! We DESERVE it.”
Her followers have welcomed the post, with many sharing their own positive messages. Iza Calzado shared, “YES YES YES!!!! Thank you for embracing your beautiful curves. By doing this you are educating and inspiring so many women and Young girls to love themselves, no matter their size. Remember we are more than the size/shape/color/appearance of our bodies. We are so worthy of taking up Space and we are enough! Mabuhay!”
