Here’s something to look forward to: KathNiel is working on another project and it is conceptualized by Juan Miguel Severo.
Severo announced the news by posting a draft of the script on Twitter. The photo says “KathNiel Series 2021.” Below it, “pilot script draft 2” and “December 21, 2020.”

The writer and performer captioned his post with, “Panahon na naman ng pag-ibig” with a sparkling emoji. [“It’s the season of love again”]
Bernardo also talked about the project in a press conference for bloggers for the finale of the show The House Arrest of Us.
She said, “Una, excited kami sa teleserye na gagawin. Kasi yung concept nun, nanggaling kay Gege [Juan Miguel Severo]. So it’s something na gusto namin ni DJ talaga kaya medyo na-delay dahil inaayos pa yung script. We’re happy because we’re working on a project na gusto namin yung concept.”
[“First of all, we’re excited with the teleserye we’re doing because the concept came from Gege [Juan Miguel Severo]. So it’s something that DJ and I want. There’s a delay because the script is still being fixed. We’re happy because we’re working on a project where we like the concept.”]
The three last worked together for the music video of Ben&Ben’s “Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay.” The well-loved nine-piece folk-pop band called it their “dream collab.”
There’s no word when the new KathNiel teleserye will air or begin production.
