Former “Asia’s Next Top Model” finalist and host Katarina Rodriguez scored another podium finish for the Philippines in the pageant scene after she finished as first runner-up at the Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant held at the Sunrise Garden Beach Resort in Hurghada, Egypt last Wednesday.
It was Miss Mexico, Veronica Salas Vallejo, 24, who went home with the crown that night.
Other winners included Cathelijne Heppenhuis, Netherlands; Amanda Cardoso, Brazil; Lizeth Villanueva, Colombia; and Lee Su Jin; Korea.
Katarina took to Instagram to share her thoughts after she landed as first runner-up:
Myself, and DOZENS of people behind me dedicated so much time and effort to ensure I would win. I cannot say I would have done anything differently because I was very aware from the moment I stepped into the NAIA airport of every action and word I produced. I can tell you that after rewatching the coronation last night I can confidently say I was FLAWLESS. Never had I been more ready for anything in my life.
