Due to the spread of COVID-19, people all over the world have been panic-buying different kinds of products to tide them over: from alcohol to hand sanitizer to toilet paper to face masks. Unfortunately, this has led to a shortage of supplies for some much-needed items, including surgical face masks.
Because of this, Karel Marquez has decided to take action and try to get masks by bulk straight from the factory itself. Along with her friends and without making any business or profit out of it, she is calling on social media to help them get a low deal. The more masks are ordered, the lower the cost will be.
When she posted her Facebook status two hours ago, they had confirmed 30 to 50 thousand pieces, but a lot of people are still in need and will be in need for the weeks to come. “We will will add up all orders no matter how small or large the quantity is, but the higher the qty., the cheaper it will be for all of us,” she says. If anyone wants to buy, just send Karel a message on Facebook along with your name, address, shipping details, and number of orders (1 box = 50 masks). Even if you don’t want to buy anything, you can also donate for the masks instead, so that they can be given to hospitals, families, and other people in need.
“If you have little to spare, the people in our country need face masks SINCE IT IS OUT OF STOCK EVERYWHERE, and every place I have been to this week like Mercury Drug / Watson, etc.,” Karel shares.
